It was a misty, cold, crisp winter’s morning and the low winter sun made all the colours in the landscape appear deep yet soft and subtle. Everything seemed to merge together in the mist. I was inspired by the light coming through the trees, casting strong white light on the lane, drawing you up the lane and around the corner. This is a loose, expressive watercolour that I thoroughly enjoyed painting.
